Scott Vatter -- Owner/President

Scott attended Rangeview HS in Aurora Colorado from 1986-1990. He was the starting varsity shortstop for 3 years earning All league honors his junior and senior season. Scott received a baseball scholarship to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and played there for four years. He was awarded the MVP for the conference in both his junior and senior season. Scott still holds several hitting records at the school including the HitStreak record hitting safely in 20 straight games. Scott signed a professional contract after his senior year and played in the Pioneer League for one year. He has been coaching and instructing players in Colorado for over 10 years and is currently scouting for the Atlanta Braves.


Jeff Knabenshue -- Director of Speed and Strength

Jeff attended Smoky Hill HS in Aurora, Colorado from 1982-1985. He was an All State athlete in football and baseball and is recognized today as one of the top athletes coming out of Colorado. Jeff decided to play both sports at the University of Northern Colorado before being drafted and signing a professional contract in baseball with the Milwaukee Brewers. Since then, and for the last 15 years, Jeff has designed personal training programs (speed, strength, nutrition, and hitting) for high school players and professional athletes.


Brian Bonn -- Vice President of Marketing & Communications

Brian attended Highlands Ranch HS in Colorado from 1999-2003. He was honored to the All-State/All-Colorado team in 2003 He led 5A his senior year, batting .555. After high school, Bonn attended Hastings College where he continued his baseball career. He currently is an assistant head coach at Valor Christian HS and gives both hitting lessons and throwing lessons to help improve arm strength. Brian is the Vice President of Marketing at HitStreak and has a background in Broadcast/Journalism/New Media Design.


Matt Darr -- Camp Director & College Advisory Consultant

Matt graduated from Denver Christian High School in 1989 as an All-State Shortstop. He led the state of Colorado in hitting his senior year, batting .722. Matt continued his baseball career at William Jewell College Matt was four year starter leading the team in hitting his junior and senior years. Matt was a two time Heart of American All Conference selection and an All-District 16 selection his senior year. After graduating from William Jewell with a business degree, Matt spent 4 years as the top assistant coach at the University of Northern Colorado. Matt headed up the recruiting efforts and worked with the outfielders and hitters as part of his on the field duties. While at UNC matt completed his masters and all his course work for his PHD in sport administration. Matt also spent three years as the Athletic Director at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN. His background in coaching and athletic administration give him a sound understanding of the college recruiting process and how to assist student athletes in that process. Matt is one of the primary hitting instructors at HitStreak , also be giving outfield instruction and working as a consultant for families going the through the collegiate recruiting process.

Al Bleser -- Director of Special Events


Al brings three decades of professional baseball experience to HitStreak. Currently scouting for the Mariners, Al served as pitching coach at Regis University from 2006-09 helping the Rangers to three consecutive RMAC Conference tournament appearances. From 1993-99, Al served as a minor league coach and manager with the Rockies. His NWL Portland Rockies won the 1997 title with the help of current Major Leaguers Aaron Cook, Juan Pierre and Chone Figgins. From 1984-92, Al scouted for the Brewers,signing HitStreak staffer Jeff Knabenshue to a pro contract. As a player, Al played at Cherry Creek High School for coach Marc Johnson, then on to Lamar Community College, earning All-Region IX honors, before graduating from the University of Southern Colorado (CSU-Pueblo) in 1981. He led the RMAC in hitting in 1979 and was named to the All-RMAC Team twice during his time at USC. Following a tour at extended spring training with the Yankees, Al returned to teach in the Cherry Creek School District at Eaglecrest HS and is married to fellow Creek alum Robin, with daughter Alison.


Dr. Rob Anderson -- Director of Sports Performance


Dr. Rob is a Colorado native. He grew up playing baseball, BMX racing and wrestling. He went to undergrad at CU and studied kinesiology and human biology. Then he moved to Portland, to attend chiropractic college. He has a wonderful family including: his wife, Kimberly, a daughter, Marissa and two sons, Cole and Ryne. During his professional education he was captain of the Sports Chiropractic Club. He cared for many of the Nike World Campus athletes, hundreds of Iron-Men, athletes competing in the Nike World Masters Olympics and numerous marathoners. He graduated Cum Laude and was honored with receiving the class award for Clinical Excellence. He and his family moved back to Colorado and he has been in practice since 1998. Since then he has volunteered his time and skills to provide thousands of toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. In 10 years he has donated over 7500 adjustment visits to athletes at Highlands Ranch and Valor Christian High Schools. He has provided care to the School of Mines football team, current and retired Denver Broncos, pro and amateur golfers, Iron Men, MMA fighters, Stanford University’s track team, Olympic Training Center Athletes and hundreds of local youth athletes. Currently, he is the team doctor for Valor Christian High. In 2008 he was honored to serve in partnership with Sportsbridge Sports Complex as their Chiropractic Health Provider. In June of 2009 he was again honored to serve as the Director of Sports Performance for HitStreak. Chris Frey

-Attended U of Arizona on Baseball Scholarship from 2003-2005 (All Pac-10 Team OF in 2005)
-Drafted by Colorado Rockies in June 2005 (11th Round)
-Played in Short Season-A for Tri-City Dust Devils in 2005
-Played in Advanced A for Modesto Nuts in 2006
-Played in Double-A for Tulsa Drillers in 2007
-Played in Triple-A for Colorado Springs Sky Sox in 2008
-Attended Major League Spring Training for first time in 2009
-Currently play for Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox

Roger Bailey

In his playing days (1992-2000), Bailey pitched for the Colorado Rockies as well as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Earning numerous accolades for the Rockies, he was named the 1995 Rocky Mountain News Rookie of the Year and the 1997 Rocky Mountain News Pitcher of the Year. Before making his Major League debut in 1995, Bailey was listed as one of professional baseball's "Top Pitching Prospects". Bailey still holds Rockies records for most shut-outs and complete games in a single season with 2 and 5.

Marcus Quade

Marcus attended Highlands Ranch High School in Colorado from 2000-2004. He was the starting catcher his Junior and Senior years, earning first team All league honors. Marcus received a baseball scholarship to New Mexico State University, in the WAC Conference, where he played four years. At New Mexico State he set a school record with a 33 game hitting streak which is second all time in the WAC conference. He also received All American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the year in 2008. Marcus signed a professional contract with the Sioux City Explorers and is still playing professional baseball and coaching the game he loves.

Justin Dillard

Justin graduated from Smoky Hill High School in 2001. He was a four-year lettermen and starter on varsity, two-time 1st team All-Centennial League Catcher, State Champion in 2001 and 2001 Smoky Hill Wall of Fame inductee. Justin went on to play two years at Yavapai College in Prescott, AZ where he won a league championship and led the team in stolen bases and received his Associates Degree. He then ended his playing career at Dallas Baptist University where he was a member of a NCCAA National Championship team and received his Bachelor’s Degree. Justin has sense coached at Regis High School, Fossil Ridge High School and the Lightning Baseball Program. In addition to baseball, Justin has spent years doing speed training with his father Denny Dillard who was a Los Angeles Police Officer, trainer at the police academy and an elite 800 meter runner training for the ’88 Olympic games. Justin specializes in hitting, catching and speed instruction.
